From call to handover
Four steps, and you can stop after the first.

Consultation
A call to find out what actually eats your team's time. Some of what you describe will not be worth automating, and we will say so on that call rather than after invoicing you.

Scoping
We pick one process, map it end to end, and write down what the agent will and will not do — including where it must stop and ask a human. You approve that before anything is built.

Build
We build it against your real systems and your real data, not a demo. Typically two to four weeks depending on how many systems it has to touch.

Handover
You get the agent, the documentation, and the ability to change it. We do not hold your automation hostage — if you want to take it in-house or hand it to another developer, you can.

What it does not cover
Being straight about this now saves an awkward conversation later.
- Running costs. The agent uses models and services you pay for directly — typically a few dollars to low hundreds a month depending on volume. We size that during scoping so it is not a surprise.
- Ongoing changes. Handover includes the ability to change it yourself. If you would rather we maintained it, that is a separate arrangement we agree explicitly rather than assume.
- Processes that should not be automated. If the consultation concludes that, we say so and you owe nothing.

Be as specific as you can in the form. “Every new order email has to be copied into our stock sheet and the supplier notified” is something we can respond to properly. “Automate our admin” is not.

Questions worth asking first
What does $2,500 actually cover?
It is the starting setup fee for a single, well-scoped process: the scoping work, the build, and handover with documentation. Processes touching several systems, or needing unusual integrations, cost more — and we tell you the number before starting, not after. It does not cover the running costs of the models and services the agent uses, which you pay directly to those providers and typically run from a few dollars to low hundreds a month depending on volume.
How long does it take?
Usually two to four weeks from scoping to handover for one process. The variable is rarely the agent — it is how many systems it has to reach and how quickly we can get access to them.
Do I own what you build?
Yes. You get the agent, the documentation and the ability to change it. We do not lock automation behind a retainer you cannot leave. If you want to hand it to your own developer afterwards, that is a fine outcome.
What if the process should not be automated?
Then we say so, on the consultation call, before you have paid anything. Some processes are too rare to be worth it, some change too often to stay automated, and some are load-bearing in ways that make unsupervised software a bad idea. Telling you that costs us one project and saves you a wasted one.
Will it replace someone's job?
That is your decision, not ours, but it is worth being clear about what we build. These agents take the repetitive middle out of a process — the copying, the checking, the routing. They are not good at judgement, and the ones that work best keep a person deciding the things that need deciding.
Can we not just buy one of the tools you review?
Often, yes — and if an off-the-shelf agent fits your process we will tell you which one instead of quoting you. That is the honest answer more often than an agency likes to admit. Custom work earns its cost when your process does not match anything you can buy, or when it spans systems no product connects.
